There’s a bit of a problem with the itch to decorate when you’re moving in a matter of a few months like I am. Why go to the trouble, time, and effort if the work will shortly be undone? Well, unfortunately for me, the itch just won’t go away. My remedy: get just a little crafty. I found a wonderful little DIY project on Design*Sponge that’s both fun and practical. With three girls living in one apartment, why not have somewhere that we can each hang our keys as we kick off our shoes? Take a look at my step-by-step process.
Starting with raw wood blocks and happy acrylic paints
First coat needs to dry
Insert hanging device
Gorilla glue and rubber band clamps
The finished products doin' their job!
